Set for release in June, this new underground CD is a collection of freestyles, tracks, collobaz, remixes and everything LATE has been doing since his last outing 'Englishman In New York'. Weighing in with twenty tracks and a bonus cut, this mixtape is definitely something that really shows the diverseness of this experienced rapper. He brings positive and inspirational depths with cuts such as 'Something To Believe In', 'Smile' which also features Jai Boo and Houston rapper Ricky Lee, and 'So Serious' featuring Conman and Size8. Its almost has LATE has a presence that other UK Rappers seem to lack. His command, confidence and whole swagger continues to impress and tracks such as 'Why You In This?' should be compulsory to listen too for any new MC steps into the game. Other standout tracks include the Tricksta Remix of JT The Bigga's 'Wonderful Feeling' track which features LATE and Jai Boo. Street Military's KB Da Kidnappa and LATE join up for a real slice of street poetry on the Tricksta produced 'Ghetto Life' and then LATE absolutely kills it on 'We Stay Hustlin, Grindin' as does Jai Boo which sees her up the ante on the luscious sung vocals, and some of the posse tracks worth their weight in gold. Jon Conners, Lo-Keys, Stress, Brick Saavy, Famoso, Mokeout, Cee-Rock "The Fury", Dyce, Nut-Rageous, Panama, Jak Daniels, SPC's Thugstar, Murder One and Kuwait all feature and DJ Loon slows and chops a track for the last track. I wondered why LATE is creating such a buzz in the States and in Europe, but after hearing this CD I fully understand why. He doesn't make Gangsta Rap or UK Hip-Hop or Grime or Street Rap he makes LATE music and that's what makes his one of the Best MC's from the UK. Make you cop this release, you need it.
